The company was founded in 1990 in the city of Gabrovo by Eng. Nikolay Radev. Between 1965 and 1988, he participated in the development and implementation of serial production of wire rope electric hoists of types T, MT, and M — initially as Chief Engineer, later as Deputy Technical Director, and eventually as General Director of the PODEM Electric Hoist Plant in Gabrovo.
